The North Sea air hits differently in June - crisp, invigorating, and carrying that unmistakable salt-and-sea quality that only a coastal stay can offer. This renovated apartment in Mariakerke puts you five minutes from the sand on foot, with the coastal tram just three minutes away when you want to range further along the Belgian shore. Whether you are here for the beach, the culture, or simply to slow down, this is a home that makes it easy.

Living space
The bright living area is the heart of the apartment, with large windows drawing in natural light throughout the day. Air conditioning keeps the space comfortable when the summer sun is at its strongest. A dining table gives you a proper spot to sit down for meals, and the sofa converts into a bed for two additional guests - fresh linens are stored in the closet, ready when needed.

Sleeping arrangements
Two bedrooms each hold a comfortable double bed, offering a calm retreat after days spent exploring the coast. Room-darkening shades in the bedrooms let you sleep in when the morning light arrives early.

Kitchen & dining
The brand-new kitchen is fully equipped for everything from a quick breakfast to a proper sit-down dinner. You will find an oven, stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, hot water kettle, coffee maker, toaster, and baking sheet, along with cooking basics, dishes, silverware, and wine glasses. Coffee is provided to get your mornings started.

Bathroom
The modern shower room is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, and a hair dryer - so you can pack light and still feel at home.

Outdoor & building
Step out onto the balcony for a quiet moment overlooking the nearby tennis courts. The building has an elevator, making it easy to move between floors with luggage or pushchairs. Paid parking is available off premises for guests arriving by car.

Getting around
The coastal tram stop is a three-minute walk, connecting you directly to Ostend city centre and the string of beach towns that line the 64-kilometre Belgian coastline. Ostend itself offers pedestrian shopping streets, a weekly Thursday market, waterfront dining, the floating museum ship Mercator docked in the marina, and the Mu.ZEE art museum. In summer, the city fills with live music, beach sports, and a jazz pub crawl. In winter, the Grote Markt hosts an ice rink and Christmas market. Ostend is one of the few Belgian coastal cities that stays genuinely alive through every season.
