Ghent reveals itself slowly — through fog lifting off the Leie, cobblestones worn smooth by centuries of footsteps, and the smell of fresh waffles drifting past guild halls that have stood since the Middle Ages. This two-bedroom apartment in the heart of the city gives you a quiet, well-equipped base from which to take it all in, at whatever pace suits you.

Living space
The open-plan living area is warm and inviting, decorated with artwork and details that reflect Ghent's distinct creative character. Natural light fills the room throughout the day, and the city skyline view adds a layer of atmosphere you'll notice each time you look up. A dedicated workspace means those who need to stay connected can do so comfortably, while the TV is there for evenings when you'd rather stay in.

Kitchen & dining
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook from scratch or pull together a simple meal after a long day exploring. You'll find a refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, hot water kettle, coffee maker, toaster, and wine glasses - along with cooking basics, dishes, and silverware. A dining table completes the setup, making it easy to eat in when the mood strikes. Coffee is provided to get your mornings started.

Sleeping arrangements
Two bedrooms with 2 beds offer comfortable accommodation for up to 5 guests. Room-darkening shades help you sleep in when you need it, and the beds are made up with fresh linens for your arrival. Hangers and clothing storage keep things tidy throughout your stay.

Bathroom
The bathroom is stocked with everything you need - shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, and a hair dryer. Hot water, fresh towels, and cleaning products are all provided, so there's nothing to think about.

Practical details
The apartment has a private entrance and is accessed via a lockbox for flexible self check-in - no need to coordinate arrival times. The building has an elevator, making it easy to reach your floor with luggage. Paid parking is available off premises. Wifi and a dedicated workspace are included. The apartment is suitable for long-term stays of 28 days or more. Please note there is no washer or air conditioning on site.

The neighborhood
You're well-placed to explore one of Europe's most rewarding city-break destinations. Saint Bavo's Cathedral - home to the Van Eyck brothers' masterpiece, The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb - is among the highlights within reach, along with the Belfry, Saint Nicholas' Church, and the imposing Gravensteen castle. The old craftsmen's guild halls, the Prinsenhof, and the medieval waterways that wind through the city center are all close by. Boat tours depart from the Vismarkt, taking you past centuries of architecture in under an hour.

Ghent has the largest pedestrian shopping and walking area in Belgium, with a mix of well-known stores and independent boutiques. Restaurants, cafés, and local markets are all within easy reach of the apartment. And if you want to extend your trip to the Flemish coast, Knokke, Blankenberge, and Ostend are all easily accessible by car or train.
