Step into Valkehuisje - a warmly renovated holiday home tucked right in the heart of Poperinge's historic centre. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and space for up to six guests make it a natural fit for families or small groups looking for a comfortable base with genuine character. The attic playroom, sunny terrace, and underfloor heating all add up to a home that's as practical as it is inviting - whether you're here to explore Flanders' rich history or simply slow down and enjoy Belgian life at its best.

Living space
The living areas are bright and generously sized, with natural light filling the rooms throughout the day. Underfloor heating keeps things comfortably warm even on cooler days, and the overall feel is relaxed and easy - somewhere you can return to after a day out and genuinely unwind. A dedicated workspace and Wi-Fi are available if you need to stay connected, and the TV and sound system are on hand for quieter evenings in.

Sleeping arrangements
The home sleeps six across three bedrooms. Two bedrooms each feature a double bed for couples or adults travelling together, while the third bedroom has two single beds - well suited to children or friends sharing. A travel crib is available for families with young children. Room-darkening shades, extra pillows and blankets, and good clothing storage ensure everyone rests well.

Kitchen & dining
The kitchen is fully equipped and ready for everything from a quick breakfast to a proper sit-down meal. You'll find a refrigerator, freezer, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and a full complement of cooking basics, dishes, and silverware. A coffee maker, hot water kettle, toaster, and wine glasses cover the smaller comforts, and a dining table brings everyone together. Children's dinnerware is also provided for families travelling with little ones.

Bathrooms
Two bathrooms each come with a shower and are stocked with the essentials - shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, hair dryer, and hot water. Towels, bed linens, and cleaning products are included throughout the home.

Attic & outdoor space
One of Valkehuisje's most playful features is the attic room, home to a table soccer setup that's been a hit with guests of all ages. Note that the staircase leading up to the attic is steep, so a little care is needed on the way up and down. Outside, a sunny terrace with outdoor furniture gives you a comfortable spot for al fresco meals or an afternoon coffee. The property also includes a backyard - an open outdoor space to enjoy when the weather invites it.

Safety & family features
The home is thoughtfully set up for families, with window guards, baby safety gates, and table corner guards already in place. A smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit provide added peace of mind throughout your stay.

Location
Valkehuisje sits just steps from Poperinge's large market square - the lively centre of town where local shops, bakeries, cafés, and restaurants are all within easy reach. The area is known for its hop-growing heritage and its proximity to the World War I sites of the Westhoek region. Free street parking is available nearby, with paid parking off-premises as an alternative, making arrival and departure straightforward.
